cannot get approved for a cash advance

Collecting any amount not authorized by law or by the agreement between consumer and creditor.
If your last negative and your last activity of any kind was in 98, then in '05 they should fall off. But, if in 2004 you decide to take the creditor up on his "generous" offer to reopen your account so you can pay off the past due balance, then you have just had "activity" and the 7 year clock starts all over from that point. So, guess what? Your 1998 negative that was getting ready to fall of will stick around now until 2011.
One thing I will tell you now. Since I have been moderator . I have also refrained, except where required for TOS reasons, to edit any posts.
(Cannot get approved for a cash advance) I am so jealous you guys! We have been through literal hell just getting financed. We have been trying since Sept, when we found our dream house. Credit scores up and down, contract on the house expiring over and over again, getting laid off, other buyers interested in the house, loan denials......
Midland claims to consumer only has 30 days to request validation or we lose all right to request validation later
